In August 2011 Mandarin Oriental held a Global Food & Beverage Conference in Chiang Mai, Thailand.  The aim of the conference was to discuss current and forthcoming global trends  in the hospitality industry  and food & beverage sector.  F&B managers and culinary experts from Mandarin’s branches around the world gathered to exchange their experiences and share their visions on the excellence in F&B industry. Prominent guest speakers included Adam D. Tihany, Chef Heston Blumenthal, David Nichols, Chef Daniel Boulud, and Chef Pierre Gaignaire.

In honor of long-term collaboration with Mandarin Oriental, Glass Studio participated in sponsoring the Conference.  Our designers created unique custom-made decorative plates which were included as  part of the exclusive gift packages for conference participants.

The plates were created in the shape of a fan as a tribute to Mandarin’s signature Fan logo, which symbolizes elegance, classic simplicity and flair of the Orient.  The plates were designed in black color to highlight the ideals of all-time elegance and impeccable  luxury. Designs featured custom silver curl pattern which complemented the Oriental theme of the event.

Plates also featured Glass Studio’s logo in the corner in honor of long-term partnership between Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group and our dinnerware company.
