Blue dinnerware plates for Starfish Bloo, W Retreat & Spa Bali Seminyak
In our previous post we presented part of our designs for W Retreat & Spa hotel in Bali, and namely tableware designs for “Fire” restaurant. Today, we would like to introduce you to our creations for “Starfish Bloo” dining venue.
“Starfish Bloo” is a casual and stylish dining venue located on the seaside and overlooking the Indian Ocean. Restaurant specializes in Pan-Asian cuisine and blends of eastern and western flavors in menu that stretches from brunch to dinner.
The decor of the “Starfish Bloo” is a big contrast to the one at the “Fire” restaurant. Following the “beachside dining” concept, the restaurant is designed to incorporate large open-air dining areas and plenty of natural sunlight. The decor is based on serene blue, white and beige colors that are in harmony with the seafront.

For this restaurant, Glass Studio worked on the designs for show plates that would add new dimension to the minimalist tabletop designs. Our designers incorporated patterns and shapes from our signature “Pearls” dinnerware collection, which is perfect solution for tropical resort restaurants. Glass show plates were designed in soft metallic brown color, which matches the decor.

Instead of classic bread and butter plates we incorporated glass chopstick rests in tune with the Pan-Asian cuisine served at the restaurant. To give a bit of contrast to the tabletop setting, our designers also featured smaller glass plates with similar center lines pattern in blue color.

This contrast introduced a new vibrant note to the tabletop and added another dimension to the dining presentation, differentiating it from settings typically found in resort sea-themed restaurants.
