About Banyan Tree Ungasan, Bali

Banyan Tree Ugasan is settled on the high cliffs of Bali’s southernmost peninsula and overlooks the Indian ocean. The hotel is the epitome of tropical island retreat, offering stunning ocean views and calm atmosphere for relaxation. The resort was designed with the elements of contemporary Balinese architecture and emphasis on contemporary elegance and comfort.

Dinnerware designs for Ju-Ma-Na restaurant

Glass Studio collaborated with hotel’s team in creating restaurant dinnerware for Ju-Ma-Na dining venue. The restaurant specializes in fresh seafood delicacies with an Asian flair.  One of the restaurant’s most attractive points is the dramatic endless view of the Indian ocean, unique for this venue due to its position on the top of the cliff. Our designers wanted to capture the essence of this tropical resort and the elements of water and air in the dinnerware designs. The key designs centered on glass show plates and bread and butter plates.

Show plates were designed in soft blue color, which matches the minimalist white interior of the restaurant. Our designers selected the concentric circle pattern design and shell-like shape in order to match the “on the beach” theme of the venue. The designs resulted in an interesting twist on the concept of our popular Pearls dinnerware collection.

The bread and butter plates were designed in matching soft blue color and simple oval shape, which allowed the show plates to stand out and and take the leading role in the tabletop design.
