About Hilton Doha
Hilton Doha opened in April this year and is a new addition to Qatar’s rapidly expanding hotel market. The hotel is located in the center of the city’s Diplomatic district and offers beach side views over the Arabian Gulf. Hilton Doha features 309 contemporary rooms and suites, six restaurants and bars offering international flavors, private beach for hotel’s residents, signature Eforea spa and a a special wing for hosting conferences and large social events.
Glass Studio solidified its position as one of the most in-demand hotel dinnerware and tabletop design companies in the region by adding collaboration with Hiton Doha to our ever-growing portfolio. Our designers worked closely with Hilton’s opening team in creating room amenities and restaurant dinnerware for one of the dining venues. Today we present to you our dinnerware designs for La Sahtaine restaurant.
Fine dinnerware for La Sahtaine
La Sahtaine is conceptualized as a modern brasserie-style restaurant, offering dishes from French and Mediterranean cuisines in an elegant dining setting. The restaurant’s decor is contemporary, with hints of minimalism in discreet and understated luxury. The interior features dark wood elements, combined with chic furniture in sophisticated silver-gray colors and occasional accents in deep purple.

Our creations for this dining venue included designs of show plates and napkin rings for the table settings, as well as bread baskets and a line of glass dessert plates for dessert presentation.

For the design of show plates we selected classic round shape with wide rim in silver color – a perfect way to underline the restaurant’s take on luxury and to complement the color palette of the interior.
Napkin ring by Glass Studio for La Sahtaine, Hilton Doha
To complete the tabletop design, we added round-shape glass napkin rings in matching silver color. The classic design was “broken” with the use of a “crackled” pattern, which added more contemporary feel to the dinnerware and matched with the tabletop accessories such as woven silver plate mats.
Such combination resulted in sleek and elegant looking dinnerware set, which accentuates La Sahtaine’s subtle luxury with modern edge.
