Vivaldi by Michelin-starred Alfredo Russo, located at Sheraton Dubai Creek Hotel & Towers, is an Italian restaurant and lounge with
breathtaking views of the Creek and skyline. Glass Studio was asked to design cobalt blue glass charger plates that would complement the blue and silver interior.
To enhance the luxurious ambience and the magnificent by-the-sea location of the venue, our dinnerware designer, Jenny, designed impressive ,handmade glass show plates.
Cobalt blue glass plates reminiscing of the sea waves
The plate is in shades of blue, reminiscing beautiful sea waves, creating an imaginary continuation between the seaside location of the venue and the interior and it is handpainted with the batique technique. Cobalt blue, which is the accent color of the interior, plays the role of the base color on the whole surface of the plate and a metallic light blue is applied on top with a free circular movement, creating a unique mixture of the two blue shades.
Due to their handcrafted attribute, each and every cobalt blue charger plate is different from the others, just like each wave of the sea is different from the one that comes next, creating a playful, free, non-uniform outcome on the tabletop.
