The century-old British ritual of afternoon tea has become an internationally beloved way of spending an afternoon and relaxing! New York luxury hotel Mandarin Oriental wanted to offer its guests a lux afternoon tea presentation.
Glass Studio worked with the hotel team on afternoon tea presentation ideas. Our designers created the collection of tea presentation objects that would blend with the hotel’ s character the most.
Guest now enjoy can sipping their tea and nibbling on delicacies most wonderfully presented while enjoying the view over Columbus Circle and Central Park West through the floor-to-ceiling windows in its Lobby Lounge on the 35th floor!
How the afternoon tea presentation ideas turn into real objects!
Our designers were asked for something simple and elegant, minimal design with a luxurious outcome that would match the Mandarin Oriental’ s character. A tea presentation collection that is not too overpowering, yet it makes a statement! The hotel team also requested that the color of the tea presentation objects match the china cups and saucers they had selected.
Glass Studio designers came up with a collection consisting of handmade objects with minimal black metal parts and metallic silver glass parts painted with the artistic crackle effect.
The afternoon tea stand we designed for Mandarin Oriental New York is a round high tea metal stand with 3 glass shelves and minimal design, a jam caddy with four inlets and a metal handle for easy transfer, a bowl for small desserts as well as a sugar box and a creamer, all in the same style and color concept.
Guests and media wowed by the afternoon tea presentation!
